Well, here we are, in a land of paradise...and we get to stay!! We have a three year Navy tour here on Oahu, Hawaii...Chad will be working out of the base at Pearl Harbor...We are staying in the Navy Lodge on Ford Island until we locate to our new home in the area, hopefully on Ford Island...
It is amazingly beautiful here...pictures cannot do it justice...although yesterday Chad bought me a Canon Power Shot digital camera for Mother's Day and I am certainly going to try and do some justice!
Here are a few shots I took...although mind you, I would not even deem to call myself an amateur photographer....I promise I WILL be purchasing the Digital Photography for Dummies book...And I will be an Amateur photographer in no time:-)
The most amazing thing about Hawaii, I would say, is the incredibly rich floral and fauna that pervades the island... Here are a few shots that were taken right outside our hotel...
My intention is to share the beauty and culture of Hawaii with you in a way that will do some justice to this magical place and its people...So I hope that you will come and take this journey with me:-)
