A Lovely Day Out...

I had the most lovely day out with my darling husband Chad and my beautiful daughter Bekah! First Chad and I went to Home Depot. We bought some nice indoor hanging plants and an array of herb plants to put in my darling little planter pots for my kitchen window seal. The herbs include Peppermint, Basil, Garlic, Parsley, and Greek Basil...this is my first attempt at growing my own herbs...so wish me luck:-) They look so lovely in their respective little pots on the window ledge...I feel like a proud mama...hehehehehe

After delivering our little goodies home, we picked Bekah up and took a drive down Waikiki way to check out a little metaphysical shop I recently found out about, called Sedona. The three of us were quite hungry so we stopped off and had lunch at The Old Spaghetti Factory of Honolulu...I had their Lasagna Vegetaliano. It was quite good and the atmosphere of the restaurant was reminiscent of the Gothic Baroque period. Rich dark wood and lots of stained glass...Very charming, yet rather sinister.

We ended the afternoon browsing Sedona, an upscale, and rather pricey New Age metaphysical shop. It had many beautiful little trinkets, jewelry, and gorgeous stones and gems. Although I would be hard pressed to spend what they were asking for most items, I did come away with some new incense, a beautiful Lakshmi birthday card, and a lovely glass lotus flower candleholder for my shrine...The energy and atmosphere of the shop was very upbeat and calming...I am very glad to have found this shop, since it seems to be the only one on the island that I know of, and they do sponsor local events to which I may be very interested:-)

It was truly a delightful day out with two of my most favorite people in the world!

Namaste,
Jennifer Renee
